Fracture (2023) explores the Belice valley in Sicily which is an area affected by a devastating earthquake in 1968 that caused hundreds of victims and tens of thousand of evacuees and has been challenged by a lengthy and controversial reconstruction that still heavily impacts on the social and economic life of its rural community. 'Fracture' looks at exploring and photographing topics related to reconstruction, trauma, separation, regeneration. The collaborative project aims to identify different aspects that define the complexity of the region in the architecture, nature, people, social and economic dynamics and the dialogue between urban and rural context.
